Bootcamp Connect terms of service
Last updated: [date]
These terms are the agreement between you and [Jenny Shen / business name] ("we") when you use Bootcamp Connect. Please read them. By creating an account, you agree to them.
How we use your information is explained in our Privacy notice.
1. Who can use Bootcamp Connect
- You must be 18 or over.
- You can have one account, and it must be in your own name.
2. Your account
- You sign in with your Google account. Keep it secure, because anyone who can sign in to it can use your Bootcamp Connect account.
- Keep your profile honest and up to date. Don't claim skills, jobs or qualifications you don't have.
- You can delete your account at any time from your profile page.
3. What you must not do
Don't use Bootcamp Connect to:
- break the law, or help someone else break it
- harass, bully, threaten or discriminate against anyone
- pretend to be someone else
- share anyone else's personal information without their permission
- post spam, adverts or anything misleading
- upload viruses or harmful code, or try to get into parts of the service or other people's data you're not allowed to reach
- copy data from the service in bulk, by hand or with automated tools
4. Your content
- What you add to Bootcamp Connect, such as your profile and posts, stays yours.
- You give us permission to store it and show it as needed to run the service. In this early version, only you can see your profile. We'll tell you before that changes.
- Only add content you have the right to share.
- We may remove content that breaks these terms.
5. Projects and agreements between members
Bootcamp Connect helps members find each other and work together. We aren't part of any agreement between members, including about pay, equity or who owns the work. We don't handle payments. Agree the details with the people you work with before you start.
6. An early version
Bootcamp Connect is new and free. We're still building it, so:
- features may change, pause or stop
- the service may sometimes be unavailable
- we'll try to keep your information safe and available, but we can't promise the service will always work without problems
7. If you break these terms
We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms or put other members at risk. If we do, we'll tell you why, unless the law or safety stops us.
8. Our responsibility to you
- We're responsible for losses you suffer that we could have expected, caused by us breaking these terms or not taking reasonable care.
- We're not responsible for losses we couldn't have expected, or for agreements between members (section 5).
- Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility where the law doesn't allow it, such as for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll tell you about important changes when you next sign in. If you don't agree with them, you can delete your account.
10. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. [Owner to confirm, depending on where the business is based.]
